I have a passion for tempting trout and grayling from small streams, the bigger the challenge the better.
I sit in London tying March Browns taking me to the rivers of Wales in my mind; a Cornuta for The Beaverkill where I had my first brookie or a Greenwell's to transport me back to my youth.
Excellent collection of very viable trout flies that many pads on because of remarks that have been made by others regarding their supposedly poor hooking rate. The problems that were experienced early on have long been resolved if tied correctly. I love to fish them and I love to tie them. I believe they give you an edge over those who write them off because they are "different".
